Following the Italian Armistice in late 1943, and after
losing its production facilites for the Series 5 fighters, the RSI/ANR command
turned to its German Ally for fighters. Although inferior to the
Reggiane Re.2005, Fiat G.55 and the MC.205V, the Bf.109 was readily available in
large numbers and was used by the ANR with success.
Detailed exterior w/ engraved panel lines. Detailed cockpit w/ two-part Erla
canopy. Drop tank.
