The 11th Edtion of the Schneider Trophy series of races would see three Italian entries, two new Macchi M.67s sporting Isotta-Fraschini powerplants rated at 1800 hp and one Macchi M.52R powered by a Fiat AS.3 1000 hp engine. The two M.67s abandoned the race and would leave Tomasso Dal Molin to finish second with an average speed of 457.38 km/h, behind H.R.D Waghorn in a Supermarine S.6 powered by a Rolls-Royce R 1900 hp inline engine clocking an average a speed of 528.879 km/h.
