Re: Fiat G.50 bis 1:72 Fly models - Lauri

Sometimes you make a blunder, and that's exactly what I did. I forgot to prepare everything needed for the build, so the Fiat is going to the waiting room until the emblem arrives. It's the only part missing to make it ready.

I used masks to paint the numbers, the rest will be from decals.

Re: Fiat G.50 bis 1:72 Fly models - Lauri

This is how my camouflage turned out, the colour is nocciola chiaro 4. I was inspired by similar camouflages.

The bottom is ready, now it's time for masking and more colours. I put the white stripe on first.

ps. Thanks for the tips regarding Ca.3 and Fiat. It is not painted green, but rather vernice per interni subalare from the MRP-318 palette.

Re: Fiat G.50 bis 1:72 Fly models - Lauri

This is what the Fiat A.74 engine made from the Yahu Models kit looks like before being put together. You can't see it in the photos, but there are pins and holes in the individual engine segments to make it easier to assemble correctly into a whole. A very cool addition is the nameplate, one tiny o...

Re: Fiat G.50 bis 1:72 Fly models - Lauri

The fuselage is ready for assembly, Eduard straps are in place, and a Yahu plate has been used. The sight will be mounted after the fuselage is closed. https://i.imgur.com/HIhcAtL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lRNLDEM.jpg Thanks, Editor, for welcoming me back. Sometimes I disappear for a while. Now I have...

Fiat G.50 bis 1:72 Fly models - Lauri

Hello! After a long absence. This time, I am working on a model of the Fiat G.50 bis ‘Freccia’. I will be using a Fly Models kit (72039) and additional parts in the form of pilot belts from Eduard, an instrument panel from Yahu Models (YMA7253), a Fiat A.74 engine from Yahu Models (YMS7230) and cowl...

Re: (WIP) Caproni Ca.100 FLY 1:72 - test

Happy Birthday Vince 89 yrs  ! No expiration for you! Construction of the test model completed and the Caproni Ca.100 from FLY in 1:72 looks finished like this. The build went without any problems, the parts fit very well, the decal is fine and lays very nicely on the surface of the model. The...

Re: (WIP) Caproni Ca.100 FLY 1:72 - test

Construction completed and Caproni Ca.100 from FLY in 1:72 ready to be displayed in the gallery. The build went without any problems, the parts fit very well, the decal is delicate and fits very nicely on the surface of the model. For me, the only thing missing on the decal is the clocks for the ins...

Re: (WIP) Caproni Ca.100 FLY 1:72 - test

When a model assembles like LEGO bricks it's a sheer pleasure, and the Caproni Ca.100 is just so much fun to assemble. I made up the tension cables and fuel lines and here I used the photos of the plane. I'll take another look to see if everything is right, if I didn't forget something during the co...

Re: (WIP) Caproni Ca.100 FLY 1:72 - test

The camouflage is already finished now it's left to me to apply the decals and put everything together. All these spots are painted freehand, without using stencils or masks.

Fun to paint camouflage spots like this, one more colour of spots and you can put it all together.
