Aerofile Breda
My hat is off to you! Anyone who can make a model out of an Aerofile kit has my respect. I built 2 that I purchased in the late 70s thinking they would never be molded by another company. I could not get past the engine cowling with the ridge straight cowling sides that had to be bent around the cow...

Airfix Fiat G50 update kit
Cutting Edge made a new engine cowling and cockpit for the Airfix kit. The conversion kit was numbered CEC72007 in their line. I have seen it come up on ebay once since Cutting Edge went under.

Great looking A/C!
That is a great looking camouflage! I have seen that A/C done once before at a contest. Very unique. I plan on doing that one day on one in 1/72. I noticed that the white circles of the national insignia on the tops and bottoms of the model A/C were not the same size. Is that because the one set was...

Iraqi Ba 65s
During the Iraqi up rising against the British, I understand that at least one Iraqi Breda Ba 65 was shot down. Does anyone know if they were left in the natural metal/doped colors, or were they camouflaged? I have seen the one picture of a wheels up landing of an Iraqi A/C but the caption said it h...

The Royal Italian Air Force 1923 - 1945
This book turned up on ebay (I am not associated with the seller). Written by Spencer A Coil and Renato Zavattini. 600 color and B+W photos. It looks like it is published by Schiffer but I can't find it listed on their web site. Does anyone know anything about it? Thanks

Thanks
I appreciate the comments. I am thinking of purchasing the 1/72 RCR kit to go with the Azur, AZ and Aerofile kits I am working on. I agree with your evaluation of the kits and their short comings and am trying to correct or work around them. I found the vacuform Rareplane kit a good source of replac...

Rick: Thanks for the quick post. The pictures really show what a "jungle gym" of bars the pilots lived in. Are the pictures of a duel control (bi-comando) BA65 A14? Looking at the pictures, it seems that this second cockpit (for the second pilot) has rudder peddles, stick, instrument panel and is fa...

Question on the Breda Ba 65 lower fuselage windows
I am building the AZ, Azur and Aerofile Breda Ba 65. I am using the Ali D'italia #7 Breda Ba 65 book as my primary source of information on the aircraft. Since I am building several of them, I wanted to make different versions, K 14 and A80 engines, single and twin cockpits etc. I even robbed a Rare...
