Hi,

My experience with building LF Models has never been good. Although not a looker, it is certainly an interesting subject. I just could not bring my self to by one!

A few years ago, I bought the Legato FC.20 kit and it was absolutely terrible. Planet Models are expensive, but you will not be disappointed with this one. It is accurate (compared to the drawings in the Mini Ali d'Italia booklet). It has nicely done surface detail and, in view of the one piece soli...

There is a colour profile of this aircraft in Courage Alone. It has both turrets and the short chord cowls, but no sign of sand filters?! Please note that the engines in the Supermodel kit are generic. The SM81 were fitted with three engines types: 9 cylinder Alfa Romeo 125/6; 14 cylinder Gnome Rhom...

Italiankits will recast this kit if sufficient orders are placed. This applies to most of the resin kits on their catalog. The link below has some interesting subjects in the Cunarmodel range.

You have done a good job building perhaps the best model of a SAI 207 in any scale. I built one for SAMI, replacing the kit supplied wing roundels with larger ones. They should be 12mm diameter in 1/72 scale.

No, it does not. The RCR kit is a collaboration with Sign Models with multimedia parts. For example, the cowling bulges are supplied as separate resin pieces! The Special Hobby/Flying Machine kits are still the best 1/72 kits.

New S.79 kit

Azur (Fromm) have just released an interesting variant of the SM.79, with the Jumo in-line engine, as used by the Romanian airforce. Link below.

Nice work! I like the corrected tail surfaces. Makes it look even more elegant. Is it correct to say that the SM.81 wings were based on the S.55? The ailerons look very similar.
