I've seen it said that the tail booms are too long on this kit. Can anyone confirm this, if true, and what has to be done to correct the length and shape of these booms? On the same subject, do people agree that the wing-mounted engine nacelles on the Italeri kit are not convincing, or is it just me?

Thanks, Vince. These photos are helpful, and I have found a few more that show the fuselage bottom cutaway behind the bombbay doors, enough to clear the rear of the CR.42 fuselage. There is no suggestion how this was filled in flight, if at all. I added the separate posting on camouflage and marking...

Camouflage and markings of S.82TC

The two aircraft that carried CR.42 fighters to Ethiopia. I presume they were yellow with dark green and reddish-brown mottle, but does anyone know different? What unit and individual markings did they carry?

I'm interested in the two S.82s used to transport CR.42s to Ethiopia. In particular, how the fighters were loaded, and where the component parts were carried. These aircraft had two additional fuel tanks - where were these situated? It would make a a nice combination, having a CR.42 half-loaded thro...
