Re: Crash planes still visible?

Italy was a battleground. Many WWII planes have been found over the years in Italy: RA, ANR, Allied and Luftwaffe, all over Italy and are sometimes posted in this forum.

Re: Lombarda A.R guided from witch plane?

Adding to what Richard posted (Richard built the AR model on this site), only a single prototype was built and was not completed to specifications. The prototype having fixed landing gear while the (pre)production models were to be equipped with detachable reusable trolleys (on take-off) and were to...

sorely miss the Latin mass :(
Every person I know who attended Latin mass has said this. The Catholic church is routinely beat up in the US media and a favorite punching bag of Hollywood, I'm surprised net positive is that high but Catholics make a up a large number of the US population.

Slightly Off-Topic: Net Popularity of Countries in the US

SLIGHTLY OFF-TOPIC This map just came across a Feed, it was published by YouGov (https://today.yougov.com/) a popular US pollster. Its an interesting map I thought I'd share with everyone. The map covers the period Q2 2021 and gives the NET (the difference between the % of Americans with positive a...

Re: A Fiat AS.6 roars to life!

Original film footage of the MC.72 on its record breaking flight, note the engine startup (unfortunately its only a few seconds long) and the familiar sounds and exhaust of the same startup at Il Magnete Workshop. Also note Mario Castoldi among the group that greets Francesco Agello after the flight...

Re: A Fiat AS.6 roars to life!

Its great the way they keep the memory of these men and machines going. Even just an engine startup draws a crowd. History is important to them as it should be, it paves the way forward.

VIDEO: A Fiat AS.6 roars to life!

Below a new video of the Fiat AS.6 restored to working condition. This is the powerplant that powered the MC.72 that set a speed record for piston-powered seaplanes that still stands today. This engine developed a maximum of 2,800 horsepower. On 23 October 1934 Francesco Agello piloted the M.C. 72 a...

Re: Aeronautica Macchi C.205 Bifusoliera Art Rendering

I'll add them to a "What-if" section of the Gallery. I like the Bifusoliera and North American P-82B. The web and its earlier iterations has transformed allot even in the last 10yrs. I was thinking of re-writing this website but there's no format that allows the flexibility of what's presented on St...

Re: Aeronautica Macchi C.205 Bifusoliera Art Rendering

These are well known drawings of these planes that I didn't know belonged to you but I suspected were yours after you posted here. Lets get all these into the Gallery and give credit where credit is due. Yes Coreldraw and Illustrator are very expensive!

Very cool. Is this your drawing? Towards the end the RA did begin to buy into the heavy fighter concept.
