Carrying on. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/2553/UC8s3M.jpg Now was the time to see if I had got it right, it seems that no matter how many times you test fit as soon as you apply glue it no longer wants to fit. Getting it all ready. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/7585/lUppkJ.jpg I o...

And here are all the various bits and pieces ready to assemble, note the modified bulkhead, and the boxed in exhaust sections to allow the exhausts to be fitted later in the build. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/3789/WS7CEQ.jpg Now to squeeze it all in, lots of test fitting and trimming for ...

Re: 1/32 Pacific Coast Models Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario

Below these stubs did not help the fit of the wheel well at all, and they are in numerous places on the kit parts, there are two more right where the tail wheel resin insert fits. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/5356/XMm4c5.jpg But after lots of test fitting scraping and sanding I was finall...

Re: 1/32 Pacific Coast Models Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario

Here are the decals https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/5448/x05cAF.jpg PCM kits are not Tamiya or Hasegawa, they require a bit of patience, lots of dry fitting and fettling, old style modelling. First of all, I cut the parts from their sprues and cleaned them up, the smaller parts were left with...

1/32 Pacific Coast Models Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario

As I had already built a C.205, and a G.55 the Re2005 was a logical next step The starting point, the kit box https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/1990/DCJM4z.jpg Inside the box is plastic sprues, lots of resin, PE, decals, a very good instruction brochure, and a painting and decal guide. The late...

Re: Italeri 1/32 Macchi MC202 finished!

Now I really like that, beautifully built and painted, the painting must have taken a lot of time and concentration.
I have one of those kits sitting in the "to do" pile, I will be happy if it turns out as nice as yours when I get round to it.

Cheers

Re: PCM Macchi MC200 Camouflage scheme

Thank you that was a really fast reply and very useful information, I had no idea of the aircraft's identity and no serial number to help with tracking it down. It prompts some more questions for the build. 1. Cockpit colour: green or grey (GAC), for green I have seen FS34272 or FS34558 quoted and h...

PCM Macchi MC200 Camouflage scheme

Hi guys just checking as I seem to have conflicting information on the subject of my next build. Below is my chosen subject, I want to build 364 Squadron red 7, the centre profile, are the colours correct? Grigio Azzurro Chiarro 1 undersides. Nocciola Chaiaro 4 uppers with Verde Oliva Scuro 2 patche...

Re: Re 2005 width of fuselage band

Beautifully done, looks accurate. Send in a article if you have a moment. Thanks for sharing. Hi Vince sorry for the delay in answering but what form should the article take and what should I include in it, there is a detailed build thread over on LSP, do you want a shortened version ? https://foru...

Re: Re 2005 width of fuselage band

That's very kind of you, the build was a bit of a challenge but the finished model was well worth it, I have a few PCM kits in the stash and decided that I should build them so I have now built four in a row. These were a fabric wing Mk.I Hawker Hurricane, a Hawker Tempest, and a Spitfie IX. The oth...
