Re: My Tangerine Dream

So your hints suggest this is a T-6, right? A subject close to my heart, as my earliest memories are my dad as a civilian instructor for the USAF in T-6. The work and level of detail is beautiful. I did not know this and very interesting. If you like, do a write-up on this plane and brief bio of yo...

Re: My Tangerine Dream

I think I know what your dream will be although I don't think they grow tangerines in Texas. As usual, a pro job on the cockpit interior. Looking forward to this build.

Re: Retired In Kalifornia's Italian Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos

I think you may have posted the display stand and photos of the Airline kits way back when, and may have been lost when the board went down in 2019 - we lost 3000 posts and 300 users, speaking of which I should do a backup this weekend. btw each of those kits is a collectible. There's a guy in San J...

I haven't ever needed to lock a thread, no reason to. The Airlines collection you sent me photos a few years ago, incredible - I think they're shrink wrapped too.

The master's workshop. I agree, 2 gallon air compressors have a short life span - they don't last very long and usually die looking new.

Look at those beautiful seaplanes on the top shelf, your SM.95 and your incredible collection of Piaggios - what a haul those would have brought.

Re: IPMS/USA Quarterly article

People will pay for the kind of camo on your G.12T, ask Jean, Stormo has sold allot of finished kits but you're right transportation is a major problem. It doesn't matter how much padding or what kind of padding you use or if you label the package like crazy with red Fragile stickers, shippers will ...

Re: IPMS/USA Quarterly article

Your G.12T was a beauty, it gets allot of views in the Gallery. I could have sold that model for $500-$1K for you, your collection could have generated a haul.

Re: Retired In Kalifornia's Italian Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos

First, no one is happier to see you posting again than myself, I missed you! Glad your surgery went well and that you're feeling better and yes indeed, heart wrenching to know you gave away your models that you poured so much effort into, but I understand why. And what a great photo, every model lin...

Re: Salve tutti! and of course a Macchi 202 question

Welcome to Stormo. Serie VII machines were built between April - July 1942, the guns were added after RA pilots began encountering American bombers but it was pretty clear what was needed were canons. Some earlier serie planes could be fitted with the wings guns also. The rifle caliber 7.7mm wing gu...
