Gen. Giuseppe Biron

It is with great sadness that I pass onto you that Giuseppe "Bepi" Biron passed away a few days ago. He was 96 years old. He flew hundreds of combat missions and logged hundreds of flight hours while flying with the Regia Aeronatica in the skies of Africa, Spain, Russia, Mediterranean, defense of Italy and finally with the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana defending the skies above Northern Italy. From written information provided to me I counted 10 victories, and he flew the best the ANR had at the time, the MC.205 and the G.55. It was a great pleasure to have known him and I'm very lucky that he provided me with a priceless interview a few years ago. He was a fighter pilot fighting for his country, nothing more and nothing less.
