From Laran Editions ( www.laraneditones.be ) an another great book about an italian tank group during the 2° world war. The 1° Gruppo carri L “San Giusto” , created in 1934, was the first armoured cavalry units of the Italian army. It participated in the entire Yugoslav campaign until the armistice of September 1943. Atfer the armistice one of its squadrons, remained in arms and integrated into the Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano of the Repubblica Sociale Italiana, was in the north east of Italy and fought again the communist bands of Tito defending the Italian nation until may of 1945. This book describes the entire unit history with the help of around 140 photograps, mots of them never seen before. A my review (please escuse me only in italian language...) at web site: http://www.modellismosalento.it/recensi ... ault.shtml

In the new February '09 Fine Scale Model magazine on page 4 is an advertisement for two new Tamiya 1/35 scale tanks, the Semovente M40 and Carro M13/40. A couple pages later on page 10 there is a brief article how Tamiya updated these 1974 moldings to present day standards. For you Italian tank guys it's time to make a trip down to your LHS and do some shopping.
