Castoldi's original C.206 & C.207 drawings have been reproduced on pages 96 and 97 of the IBN Editore book "RE2006: Una Storia Vera".

Chris,
Thank you for the information.Isn't that the same book you used for your RE2006? Excellent project by the way.

Hi Gregory,

Yes, I did indeed use the book to help with the RE.2006 build even though there were no period photos of this aircraft in the book! Despite this it was still very interesting from a historical point of view as it covers a wider area than just the RE.2006. For example, it talks a little bit about the G.56 which was developed by the German Luftwaffe, as well as the C.206 & 207 which, in the authors opinion, were 'paper' projects only. I would be interested to know what info Riccardo has on this.

The book also speculates about what the RE.2007 might have been, if it was ever built. I remember an 1/72 RS Models RE.2007 resin kit of a single seat jet-powered aircraft, complete with RA markings! According to the IBN book, it was more likely a four-seater mailplane project.

206/207 sections and drawings

Post by nicknack » Sat Aug 27, 2011 4:05 pm

Hello,

I am also looking for good drawings of the macchi 206 and 207. wonder if anyone could provide me with detailed drawings with sections..

My interest is primarily in RC models and I am trying to recreate accurate 3D models to draw up a set of plans for a 1/5 to 1/4 scale a/c

Here's an example of what I am trying to achieve (posted under a pseudo name nickhuang)
