It took over a year. Thousands of rivets.. Next few days and it should be ready ;-)

Outstanding detail. The extra wok on the rivets brings this plane to life! Looking forward to the completed model. Thanks for posting.

Great weathering (esp. color modulation)! Mabey there is thousands of rivets but end result is beautiful.

Just few finishing touches to be done. The colours are MRP Verde Oliva Scuro and MRP Grigio Azzurro Macchi-Regiane - I have no clue if it's correct but I like it. And I'm having problems with my camera :-(

Just to add the antenna wire and some "smoke" ;-) And of course it looks too dark on the picture. I'll try in a few days with different camera and light. Quite a lot of work on this short run kit - but I had a lot of fun building it and trying some new (for me...) techniques. Wing fasces have been airbrushed using Montex masks - my "first time" - but I'm quite happy with the result. Kit's decals were bit old and stiff so I decided to use them only on the fuselage. Weathering is just "so-so" - these "birds" served only for several weeks so no chipping- streaking-making dirty this time ;-)

I've tried black basing for the first time :-)

The finish is outstanding. The surface actually looks metal painted over - the best I've seen. I like how you applied a reverse wash of white, that's exactly how to do a dark finish.

Thank you - it's very kind. Actually painting was quite easy - those MRP paints are just great. Low pressure and patience - thats's all ;-)

If you get a chance, please send in an article of this build as well as your G.50 for our Gallery. The Gallery is frequently visited and I'm sure visitors would be happy to read about your work.
