But.... still the question is - even if upper wings crosses were scratched - why there is still camo visible in their position? Crosses were applied probably before the camo. Well, we will never know...

Ok. I was wrong. Camo went first. So let's assume that black crosses were scratched from this plane somehow.

After all that discussion I've decided to take different approach to German crosses on my F-4. I sanded down GAC1 from wings and fuselage with 1500 grit water sandopaper. Then - I had new idea ;-) I painted my camo once again, then I painted simplified black crosses - carefully sanded them down leaving just delicate traces of black paint - and that's the result - scrubbed down / washed away German markings on Italian plane. What do you think about it? As before - there is still time to change it once again - if needed. But in my opinion it looks as close to those old pictures as possible.

And - I think final result after some finishing touches with a small piece of sponge and white paint. Leave it as it is - or change / repaint in some different style?

The sprayed-over wing markings look great with the touched up white spots. Well done.

Almost ready. Still need some exhaust and guns smoke stains and general dust filter. But the result is more or less predictable. Old, war weary Messerschmitt.

Just brilliant, one of the best 109s I've seen to date and you're not even finished. Flawless execution on a very difficult subject.

This is my last build picture. Still needs radio antenna and some smoke stains. On Monday I'll send pictures to the gallery. Truly - I'm quite happy with the result - thanks to Vince and Stefano. Without your knowledge and help it wouldn't go like that.

Its absolutely gorgeous, a masterpiece of accuracy and a great example to all of how to model. Yes please send in photos of your work as well as Ugo Drago's machine. Thank you.
