Ciao amici! I work on a slow pace but still do. Here is the beautiful Eduard's 109G4 dressed with the markings of the 364 Sq. in Sciacca in 43. Best regards from France.

The Master :) Good timing, I'm posting an update of a Feature of yours on Saturday. Send in an article bello :) The R6 gun pods can surely be described as canon-boats, literally, too heavy and unwieldy severely affecting performance - it gives us a better appreciation for Italian engineers that were able to fit canons properly into the wings of the C.205V, G.55 and Re.2005 - something the Bf.109 could not accommodate. When there was an attempt to add gun pods to the C.202, objections were raised and for good reason - and German pilots agreed - the R6 gun pods appeared only briefly on early-G variants, its armament increased to two MG 131 in the upper cowling (the same as Italian machines) starting with the G-6 and sporadically equipping machines with the /U4 Mk 108 30mm canon in the nose here and there until the K-4 where it was finally reliable enough and made standard equipment. The Bf.109 was really only ever a 3-gun platform.

Beautiful and very realistic, one of the best I have seen in a longe while.
