Thanks to all for such a positive feedback, really inspiring for some other challenging projects!
The complete article with some additional photos will be posted to the ARC.
So far, my attempt to produce an accurate 1/72 Re 2005…

UPDATE: When Enough is Not Enough ;-)
One Year Later...
Looking at the completed model from time to time, I just could not get rid of some bad feeling that there is something not OK with its shape or proportions. Finally I was believing to figure it out, what I was feeling somewhat uncomfortabe about:
- the canopy positioned a bit more sloped than it should be resulting also in its forward section being slightly too high;
- landing gear legs too long.
Recently I've fixed both errors. With the landing gear legs it was actually in the first place a somewhat over-dimensioned joint with the wing structure and also the mounting angle.
In addition, being forced to remove the canopy while doing the fix anyway, I used this opportunity to correct the cockpit color as well, since, according to the latest infos available, it does seem to have been some sort of grey-green. As the complete repainting wasn't possible anymore (and the exact hue remains still more or less uncertain too), the basic grey finish was just given some sort of filter with diluted RAF Interior Green. For some reason, the difference can't be seen on the photos as good as it actually is.
Well, here are some new pictures. Hopefully they are also of slightly better quality...

A very good point about the openings! Sure it wouldn't hurt to darken them.
Even if it is what actually can be only noticed on such a zoomed photo. I believe, I do a touch-up.
As for yor project, Peter, I have to say, I am also impressed! And I am sure, you'll have more fun with the Sword kit than I did with Pavla...
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!
