Fiat G55 Centauro - Pacific Coast Model.

I hope to not bore you a lot with a complete and, may be, too long W.I.P. of the Fiat G55 by Pacific Coast Model.
The model is look like all PCM productions, this mean that the first look is very interesting kit with PE and resin parts but is very difficult to assembly because sometime is too large, some time is too small, some time is… very strong to fitted. Try to increase some details, means increase the troubles . So by patience, a barrel of putty, files, every kind of sandpaper and finally a lot of elbow grease you can have the best Italian fighter of WWII
Is not so difficult built by plastic-card the flaps, but is possible to make a mistake because in Italian Air force museum there is a restored G55 based on a G59 so the flaps was different, like you can see from the images.

Then inside a cockpit
While waiting the pound of putty become dry, we can pass to the propeller
Start from some images find on line of a G59 (that is a G55 with a Merlin engine instead a Daimler-benz) I tried to detail the wheels bay.
Finally the cockpit is done, not so bad I think, and we can mask to begin by airbrush.
Then, by plastic-card, the internal wing-rib of the flaps
So a nice preshading... in italian: ombreggiatura
Also the pitot tube is not so a real ones, but is usual the same for all kits: a cilinder with two diameters…

Sorry for the photo but it was the 1 o’clock in the night and so… Then I finishing touch, by sandpaper very thin for takeout the alclad aluminum, the wings close to the cockpit for simulated the scratch that pilots and mechanicals did during the operations.
So I put the flaps in a partial position look likes on the pictures that you can find on the D’amico’s and Valentini’s book.
Now, before flaps assembly, dirty the underside of the wings.
Finally, I think to put the hinge on the top glass because you can see in every drawing or pictures of the cockpit
After many surprise for the landing gear (for example there is not the place for the port) I build by needle and plastic, the start lever that normally was inside for to be ready in case of allarm.
meanwhile a few particular on navigation lights.
Then the finish aircraft
I hope to don’t bore anyone by my English (sorry , I know that is so bad!) and my G55.
