Here is my rendition of an RA 109G6/R6 from the 365° Squadr. at Scaccia in July/August43. I was supposed to do 364-1 from Maj Bellagambi, but a mistake from myself gave way to the plane of Lt guiseppe Gianelli, who flew a G4/R6 with similar markings. I am not certain that he flew this very plane but probabilities are possible. may be Riccardo will light our lantern. Anyway this is a very colourful Gustav, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Oh well, perhaps he flew G-6 as well

Question for you: what colors exatctly have you used?

Gunze RLM76, aeromaster acrylic RLM75 Mr Color RLM74 + a drop or two of JNAF green, Model master GAC. Tamiya yellow.

I have to do a small consideration about the position of the badge in your model; I attach for discussion sake a photo from the book D'Amico - Valentini "The Messerschmitt 109 in Italian service 1943-1945", but there are other photos tha show the same characteristic; the position of the badge is in line with the upper edge of the number code and the badge is not simmetric on the two sides of the fuselage. on the same book at page 107, concerning the 150° GCT, it is possible to read: " The insigna was applied behind the cockpit on both sides of the fuselage, slightly staggered between the 2nd and 3rd fuselage section seams on the left side and between the 3rd and 4th fuselage seams on the right side".
I hope that this precisation will be useful for all the modelers

As a matter of fact i also have this book and I have used the front cover to help me for the location of the badge. Those kind of informations always appeared after the battle, but I can live with this mistake. By the way any news from italian classic Re2002, many thanks again Rick, regards, jean.

Thank you Mirek as I did not know this very interesting site. I now know that the rule is to double check my references, but the model will remain like this as I do not want to toutch the finished paint and I do not have a spare decal for the insignias as well. Have a nice day, Jean.
