Hello,
it's a long time since my last post, but I faced a lot of problems with this kit and after summer holidays I started again my kit.
I closed the fuselage, sticked the engines and the flaps. Next step : build up a new canopy.....my first time!!

I'll post soon new pics...cross fingers for the canopy!!!!
Bye

Mein Gott!!! That looks like the plane has put up a serious fight all the way. Your taming it nicely though. Do you have shares in Squadron white?

Hi Guy,
my IMAM is like the poor Ugly Duckling

.....hope that like the tale at the end we could find a wonderful Swan !!!
Believe me, this kit is terrible and I'm doing my best to take this harder....tons of putty and sanding everywhere.
Let's see at the end what will be the final result!!
ciao a tutti

Ciao a tutti,
I post new pics of last wip. I completed to build and colour engines, completed to build undercarriages and wheels and finally I built a new canopy since I decided to let the cockpit open. Regarding the new canopy I really wonder what could be the best solution to colour the frames. Any suggestion?

Paint some clear decal film with the VAC first, then some black for opacity, then VOS, cut strips of it and dress your canopy! Even kids can do that!

Dear Stormo friends,
my Romeo is finally arrived at the last steps and I wish to share with you some pics. Top was painted with Lifecolor Dark Olive Green (FS34052) lighted with Tamiya Olive Green XF-58, bottom with Lifecolor Italian Light Blue-gray (FS36307) shaded with Gunze Grey H069; next step: gloss. But before glossing....I wish to know your comment.
Ciao a tutti!!

Question: you have sprayed the white fuselage band, but why didn't you painted the savoia cross at the same time? The effect is much better than a decal, otherwise looks good at this stage. Regards, jean.

I usually paint the cross-of savoy at the same time also. Nice work on the undercarriage. Send in a short article for the Gallery when you get a chance. Thank you.

Great job so far Max! I really like how the dark green accentuates the fine lines of the Ro.57. I need to get this kit, I still have the vac Wings model lying around.
Best regards,
Jose

Dear Stormo friends,
finally after one year I completed my first 1/48 kit.
Last steps:
- built up a new Pitot-tube as the one into the kit was not correct (under my point of view);
- a first hand of matt clear vallejo and drybrush with oil
- silver scraping
...and that's all
....and now, send me plenty of comments!!!!
Ciao a tutti
Max
@Webmaster: where do I have to send the article for the Gallery?
