Hello again

Continuing my series of recent "achievements", I bring you 3 bombers. I am particularly proud of the Sm.82 which was a great kit to assemble. Again they are all in 1/72

Hi Alex, not such a bad job for a beginner! lighten up on some of the weathering and chipping. Much less chipping on the right side of the canopy. town down the sheen on the finished models. Reserch a little, your 202 should not have a sand filter for the time period of the markings you have it in. Use thinner material for the antenna. keep up the good work and in time you will be fine.

Thanks for the tips. I did try to sand out the filter from the 202, but apparently it was not enough. I will keep trying, though - about a year ago, I had never used an airbrush before, so I am happy with the progress.

Or I will stick to operating babies - that is a lot easier

Your models show serious promise. You are attempting and succeeding in painting the most complex camouflage schemes, which put off all but the brave.

Could I make one or two helpful suggestions. I don't know if you can reduce the pressure to your airbrush? If you can, this will cut down on overspray around the mottles.

It is easier to detail and paint models in a scale larger than 1:72. The smaller the model, the more difficult it is. Try building a 1:48 scale model and you will see what I mean.

For rigging aerials, try Aeroclub Lycra elastic thread. This can be peeled down to a scale thickness. Once on, it keeps its tension, and you can knock it with your finger and it just springs back into place. You can also make it any colour you want with a felt tip pen.

Keep up the good work. You are a very courageous modeller. I look forward to seeing your aeroplanes on Stormo, in the future.
