Hi all, i found this kit at a recent show i went to.
Image
On checking the contents i found all the pieces to make the 'Gun nosed' Series 1. I did a fair bit of scratchbuilding on the interior as i feared there would be a fair bit of empty space on view, what with the huge glasshouse. Wrong!! You see diddly LOL,
Anyhoo, here she is. I based her on this picture from Ali D'Italia's great book on the subject,

Wow Guy!
That is fabulous paint job!!
Did you use single or dual airbrush?
Also I'm curious, I noticed that you painted the propellers silver. Were the earlier versions of the P108b silver, then later in 1942 black?
Anyway, great job.
Congrats!
Vincent.

Thanks Vincent, as for the propellors. From what i gleaned, the earlier Piggys and the prototypes had the ally fronts to them and the later series had the all black and did away with the yellow tips.

A huge salute for an excellent paint job, very difficult and LLLLLong to do! The model is also very well built, and that is also a very important part of the process! Bravo Guy!

Guy,

Congratulations on your beautiful and highly complex paint job. How did you set out your camouflage patterns? Was it done freehand, or did you pencil the mottle locations on to the Giallo Mimetico before you started spraying the verde and marrone?

Regards,

Aeroal.

Thanks again guys, i really appreciate it. Aeroal, i painted all the camo freehand, but must admit that i painted her twice. As the 1st time i really wasnt happy with her. But it was the Giallo 1st then the Verde blobbles and then the marrone to finish.
