Me 110 C Regia Aeronautica

Post by Rick » Sat May 12, 2007 12:41 pm

I should like to submit to your opinion my last W.i.P; it is a Me 110 C3 to be completed with the Regia Aeronautica insigna; a photocolor appears on the booklet "Gli altri tedeschi" of the series "Ali straniere in Italia"; the kit is the old 1/48 Fujimi which needed a lot of work; I wait for your opinions

Beautiful work. I have the old 1/48 Astrokit Bf 110 C/D Regia Aeronautica version based on this kit. Vince Biondi gave to me, he brought it back from Italy. The surface details and the quality of the plastic of the kit look terrifc although I haven't started it yet. I'm in the UK right now so I don't have my references handy, what profile (page number) are you referring to in "Gli altri tedeschi" ?

BF110 Colours and numbers

Post by Vincent Biondi » Sun May 13, 2007 4:56 pm

H Rick,
I have a copy of AEROFAN Magazine, N. 57 Apr-Jun, 1996 issue and there is a picture of Capitano Ammannato in front of his BF110.
The airplane is in the standard three tone Luftwaffe colours and the aircraft numbers are in blue.
His particular plane is: 235-6 in blue.
Hope this helps you,
Vincent.

simply wonderful and inspiring job! I also have this fujimi kit and my intention was to do the same job as u did :)
did u use any cockpit superdetail kit? How about the general size of the model? We're all waiting the Eduard Me110 release later this year, but this looks appealing nonetheless! :)

Hi
I have used the Gunze colors for RLM 70/71 (fs34079)after having desaturated the colors with some light grey; for the internal part of the kit I used the photoetched kit by Eduard, but a lot was added as scratch built

Me 110 C

Post by Rick » Fri Sep 25, 2009 10:23 am

Hi Jan
The Eduard kit was issued when I was going to finish my model, so I decided to complete it even if the Eduard kit is much better.
