Post by stefanuccio » Thu Apr 28, 2022 8:10 am

Hi
I need an hand to decide if the fuselage code of the FIAT CR 32 in 1/32 scale in the version of the 6th Stormo 154-4 squadriglia is correct or incorrect
In the instructions the right side of the plane does not appear
On the left side the code is correct as it display 154-4
what is concerning me me is the code on the right side the fuselage
should it be also 154-4 or should be 4-154 ? which one is correct does anyone have any reference?
thanks very much for your input

I couldn't find a starboard side photo of 154-4 (4o Stormo). There are starboard side photos of 3-155 and 6-155 (4o Stormo) that show the Squadriglia codes (155) facing forward but interestingly there's a model of 154-5 in ADI #4 built by Enrico Leproni I believe, with a starboard side view and the codes 154-5 (the individual aircraft number '5' facing forward). I don't know what sources Enrico used. The difficulty with this query in general is that there were no rules or directives that stipulated how the planes were coded in the RA, this was left to the individual squadrons and within the squadron itself the coding was pretty consistent. I would contact Silver Wings and ask for their references and lets us know what you find.
