This seems like it shouldn't be that hard to figure out, but it has me stymied! What color(s) are the gear struts of the Macchi fighters? Wheels? And inside of the gear cover doors?
In some color photos it looks to be the underside gray, and in others more of a glossy warmer gray shade; but one never knows how much to trust vintage pics of course. Also a possibility it varied between the three manufacturers of course. And restored aircraft seem to mostly be none of the above, usually bare metal or silver paint?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Were the C.200 wheel wells and gear doors paint like the C.202's?
Re: C.200 / C.202 / C.205V landing gear colors?
As with all subjects, it depends where the plane was manufactured (Aermacchi, Breda, SAI Ambrosini), there were variations in how planes were finished: camo scheme, factory markings, interior colors etc. The Aermacchi C.200 at Vigna di Valle shows interior wheel wells and inside wheel well doors GAC1, applied over an anticorrosion paint (not visible). The main struts are left unpainted as in the manual.
