Wing Fasces

A question for which I never found the answer along the years...
Why Regia Aeronautica had Three fasces on wing markings, while ANR had only two?
I assure even the best gurus I asked were not able to give an answer.
I think but it is only an idea that three fasces meant Duce, Country and King while two fasces meant just Duce and Country, for the reasons you all know very well.
Take care

Well, you're quite right: not the Duce, but God, King and Homeland for RA, God and Homeland for ANR.

Maybe they simply ran out of fasces...

It seems impossible to me... at time there was a plenty of fasci everywhere, here, even on gully-holes!

If you look carefully you can find fasces in almost every corner in Italy...

I remember travelling in Italy in 1985 around Turin and seeing a number of WW2 propoganda paintings on farmhouse walls. They were all fairly damaged and not looked after.
Are there still some that are about? Are they in any way preserved or looked after as some sort of historical record?

Yes there are still a few. And I rememeber a pictorial book about all those propaganda paintings.

Is there some distinction in the white background, black background or clear background?
