fiat cr 42 scuola cacci assalto

Post by stefanuccio » Sun May 10, 2009 5:42 pm

i have recenly purchased the italeri kit of the fiat cr 42 as 1/48 scale
the version known as regia aeronautica scuola caccia assalto ravenna
italy 1942 puzzels me.
italeri instructions gives this aircraft in an overall italian sand [flat] with a camouflage pattern of smoke rings in italian olive green [flat].
i have seen print of the same plane in the book titled flying colors by w.green and g.scanborouht were this aircraft is shown in two tone green.
in the book colori e schemi mimetici della regia aeronautica 1935-1943 by a.degli innocenti and u.postiglioni ed.cmpr page 129 photo 80 is shown the same aircraft [n.45] in flight over ravenna according to the testimony of the photographer himself the plane has a two tone greem camouflage scheme
does anibody know if the italeri colour scheme is correct for this particolar aircraft?
thanks and ciao a tutti!!!
