On http://www.gmpat.it/ Stefano Zaghetto publishes again his article (in Italian) on Vitocharts chips, updating it with infos about its author: Virginio Tosco (VI-TO) who, yet at the age of thirteen, was working as illustrator at FIAT aircraft factory. He used, to better perform his job, to take the exact hue of the paints used on aircraft by matching them with distemper colours on paper, or sometimes using the original paints! Each chip has notes about the colour name and the aircraft they were to be sprayed. All of these chips have been given by Tosco to Zaghetto, who in the future will publish them on the same site, together with new discoveries.

I know it's almost twenty years ago, but the article on Tosco Virginio is no longer online it seems. Does anybody have a copy? I can read Italian. I'm interested because of one of Tosco's other exploits, the Challenge Plasti-Models range of vacforms.
