Hello All,
Can anyone tell me where to find good drawings of the Macchi 202 prototype.I'm laying the ground work to backdate one of my Macchi's in 1/32 scale. Thanks for your time.

A side profile drawing (in 1/48) as well as some photos can also be found in Ali d'Italia no. 2.
Should be an interesting conversion and doesn't look too difficult.

Thanks Guys,
I have ADI #22 which give a good profile. But what I'm after would more of a technical drawing showing details of the prototype canopy and rear glazing. Roll over protection details would be great too.Vince I took your advice and contacted Rick, maybe he can put me on the right track.

Hello Gregory,
The cut outs were introduced in the production version only (for a rear view), following the evaluation by the Ministero dell'Aeronautica which ordered the rear canopy glass to be replaced with a strengthened scalloped dorsal fairing. In the prototype, the glass to the rear of the canopy sat flush against the canopy (vertically), and you can see this clearly in pics on p. 4-5 of ADI #2 or ADI #22. Look forward to seeing your model when its done.
