GAVS is a historical society whose primary focus is the restoration of aircraft.
Based in Rome, the organization has participated in large-scale aircraft restoration
projects including the Fiat G.55 in Torino, the Nardi FN.305, SIAI S.79 and the SPAD VII
in Rome, among other notable projects.
The society also offers various publications and since 1983 has provided its members
with a yearly subscription to the aviation magazine Ali Antiche. The magazine is published on
a quarterly basis and is written in both English and Italian. In association with

GAVS MEMBERSHIP - ALI ANTICHE MAGAZINE
This is a one year membership to GAVS (Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici) historical society and entitles
a member to a one year
free subscription to the quarterly aviation magazine Ali Antiche, published by
the society. The membership also includes large discounts
(20% - 40% off) on all GAVS Publications that feature well known historical references
such as "Colori e Schemi Mimetici Della Regia Aeronautica." Free shipping is
aslo included on select publications such as "Caccia Italiani Serie 80".
Memberships are available at 30 euros ("40 CAD) BASE membership and 55 euros
("75 CAD) EXTENDED membership. This is a 5 euro ("7 CAD) savings off each membership fee. The
EXTENDED membership
allows a member to contribute the additional funds for new restoration
projects. These funds are directed solely toward restoration projects currently
underway. These membership rates are available to New members only.
