Caproni Ca.114 "Peruvian AF Fighter" 1/48 - PD242
Elegant bi-plane fighter designed by Engineer Gianni Caproni as a
development of the highly maneuverable Ca.113 acrobatic biplane and used in the
1941 Ecuadorian-Peruvian War.
Full resin kit features engraved panel lines, subtle fabric-over-frame
effects, detailed cockpit with truss framing and multi-part radial engine. Also
includes vacuform canopy, white metal struts and photo-etch details.
Record breaking and aerobatics aircraft. On April 11, 1934 a specially modified
Ca.113 set a world height-record of 47,352 ft with the pilot in a pressurized suit.
The following year, Countess Carina Negrone would set a women's altitude record of 39,402 ft
in the same Ca.113.
