Designed as a multi-role combat aircraft (ground attack/fighter) and heavily armed,
the Regia Aeronautica decided to retire the plane after service in Spain.
However when the situation in North Africa worsened, the RA placed
the aircraft back into front line duty where it acquitted itself well! Flown
by the fighter Ace Major Adriano Visconti early in his career. This kit comes
with resin and white metal parts and vacuform canopy.
Both single and two seat versions can be constructed.
Decals included for two planes. Limited production.
Sleek and elegnat in its design, the Ba.88 set various speed and distant records.
The Ba.88 was selected for series production and 148 were constructed. However too
late it was discovered that due to the high wing loading the aircraft had little
ability to maneuver.
