Answer on your question is several posts above. I use Mr.Surfacer 1000 by Gunze.

Hey Lubos, great work! What do you think is the benefit of using a primer before the actual paint of the model? I've only done it for natural metal finishes only.

I've got used to the Mr.Surfacer some times ago. I think that surfacer integrate all materials used during the building (It means the plastic, PE and resin parts) and discover my errors during the building for examle some scratches on the surface and so on. The using of surfacer is the check point of my work and if I'm satisfied with my work I start with the painting my model.

Hi Luboš,

What ratio of paint to thinner are you using for the thin coats over the pre-shading? It looks great!

Hi Adam,
it's easy question but hard answer. I don't know it exactly. I guess that ratio of paint to thinner was about 1:3-4. I mixed it by sight

Nice job! Love your work process. What are you using for Nocciola Chiaro ? Also what bulbs are you using to take your photographs and what camera are you using.

For Nocciola Chiaro 4 I used the mix of Gunze colors H310 and H079. The ration of colors mixure is 2,5-3:1. These photos aren't absolutely perfect and the Nocciola looks darker than in reality. We argued about the shade of Nocciola with Mirek R. over the bottle of Tullamore Dew and we finished our meeting with the result that my shade of Nocciola is relatively good

For my photographs I use standard bulb. Not any special bulbs like "Day Light" and so on. I'm worse photographer than modeller.

btw. My camera is Canon G6.
