Again from hyperscale.com, a link for not one but two Classic Airframes Re.2001s by Tom Dungan. One of his references is this website. He does a really good job.

I've built only one of these kits and I thought it was a lousy kit. But I'm going to give it another try. I found this kit at a recent swap show selling cheap so I bought it. Picked up a set of Sky decals, too.

The only major model manufacturer that hasn't produced an RA WWII subject is Tamiya. A 1/48 Re.2001 would be a nice start from those folks!

You know, I think you are correct. I can't remember one Italian plane by Tamiya.
